We'd probably move ahead of Ole Miss in the NCAA pecking order, pretty much lock up a double by in the SECt, and we played MSU twice and Ole Miss once so that helps our RPI. And I don't feel like this Ole Miss team led by AK is the kind to bounce back from a loss like this, much more likely to just give up which helps our chances Tuesday.

9 point lead with 2 minutes left. Surely State can't choke, right? Then again we lost a 10 point lead with 3 minutes left

So OM is pretty much out for good. Tennessee and UK are still on the bubble. Arky is on the outside looking in.
We need to win our last 2 games plus at least one SECT game, and have UTk, UK, and Arky lose again.

I don't think so. We need UTk to finish the season on a down note. They still have a better resume than we do, IMO. A loss @ Auburn would probably push them off the bubble though.
Also agree with Bryant about Nova. The more bubble teams that lose the better. If we can beat OM and UGA next week we should be in decent shape going into the SECT if several other bubble teams drop a game or two down the stretch.

Nova is the only bubble team I'll root for. We need to have a win against a tournament team and despite what the committee says, they'll see we won that game by 22 points.

Probably so. But one of the bubble teams we beat has to make it IMO. I don't see them letting a team with our resume in without having any NCAAT team wins.

Things are going our way tonight. Now we need to take care of business next week. If we had just avoided shitting the bed in the last 6 minutes of our own game we'd be solidly in by the time midnight rolls around.

Pisses me off too, but I look at it through the "at least we were in the game" prism. With Gottfried on the road, we never were.
