Lamar is a shite team so it's difficult to draw many conclusions from a game like this, but he looked better than he has in any other game. Hit a couple of 3s and got to the basket pretty much whenever he wanted. He pulled off a great Eddie Lacy impersonation on a fast break too. The defender was in good position to force a pass, then Retin spun around him while moving the ball from one hand to the other and going up for a lay in. If he continues to develop I think we will be perfectly fine after Releford graduates.

I just noticed that Cincy is playing an away football game the same time as our basketball game. I wonder if that'll keep some fans away and hopefully make it not as hostile of an environment?

I've got a friend who goes to UC and he said he is going to the basketball game. I don't know if the mood has changed since the team can't win the conference or they just like basketball more. Would be a great win either way.

Good catch. That certainly should draw some fans away from there bball arena.

Granted, I didn't see the game last night but from what I've seen, Retin needs to work on the defensive end. He was not guarding anyone in the first few games.

Bball game on ESPN3, SECCG on TV. Gonna be a lot of shouting/screaming for a variety of different emotional reasons at my house today. Let's hope they're all happy emotions.

So, I am blacked out on ESPN3, don't get ESPN Classic, and there is a shitty C-USA football game that is going to bleed over for 45 minutes on ESPN2. Go frick yourself ESPN.

The game was a heartbreaker but I'm proud of how the team fought back and didn't quit. I just hate we didn't even get a shot off at the end of the game. Late game situations and drawing up plays just aren't Grant's forte unfortunately. Hopefully we can bounce back with a big win Wednesday against Dayton.
