but yesterday Keller was horrible. but you had a 6 run lead. Not sure Keller is incapable of pitching anymore this year

Wass rolls over another one to 3rd for like the 48th time this weekend to end the inning. I'd be so excited to see him hit a ball to RF, even if it's just a lazy fly ball
WASS JUST HIT A BALL TO RIGHT FIELD I'M SO EXCITED. A nice single too, Moore (who walked) went first to third. At the corners with no outs.

Alabama is threatening again in the 8th. We have men on 1st and third with no outs.

Do you trust your "color" vision?

He hadn't thrown in a while, hopefully it was just rust though because we may not have a choice with hopefully two games still to play this weekend. With no clear starters (Eicholtz, Hawley, Castillo?) we'll need all hands on deck. I hate to think what could've been if Keller had stayed healthy and he was able to pitch this game and Bramblett tonight. Oh well though, no sense in thinking about what could've been

Addressing Bryant's call on the 6 inch out or in play.. ok Tide more insurance runs

Yes, is mistake yesterday was calling on Keller.
When you have 2 games in one day you would like to save your closer for game 2 if possible, but NOT to the detriment of the team.
In other words you have to be smart.

Hawley has been a starter in the past right?
Posted on 6/1/14 at 1:22 pm to mrbroker
Yea, he made that Sunday start at USC too when Keller was suspended before Bramblett took over that role. I was surprised Hawley didn't get the start in the SECt. As bad as Eicholtz was that day, I'm really hoping Hawley gets the ball tonight if we hold on. Gaspard loves him so Eicholtz though... Castillo started the year as our #3 starter but wasn't very good in that role.
Bases loaded nobody out BTW after Smith walked and Overstreet singled.
Hughston grounds to 2nd, throw home for the out. Bases still loaded with 1 out. Really need a couple more runs here before we start getting risky with the pre-Burrows bullpen again

Hard to say for certain, although I'm pretty sure he has actually been banged up. It came out of nowhere right after that suspension, but it's just sore elbow and that can pop up suddenly and be hard to shake. His suspension was only one weekend, I don't think he'd have stayed in the doghouse that long (almost half the year now) when he's so valuable. The timing of it (just following the suspension) was just a weird coincidence I think. The fact nobody has ever really updated his condition is odd too.

can Friday's starter pitch for us on Monday assuming we win the two today?

Nah I don't think so. Kilcrease did that for us in 2010, but Turnbull throws a lot harder and I really doubt he'd be ready.

Couple of Ks leave the bases loaded.
6-0 after 8.
6-0 after 8.

Looks like Hawley will be the one to close this game out.

Giving Bramblett a shot. I really, really hate the idea of putting Hawley in. That means we're thinking Eicholtz tonight and that scares me.

Nevermind, looks like CMG is going to try and get Bramblett to go the distance.

been fun talking BB but the back yard calls. Will catch up to "yuse" or y'all guys for the second game. I also got to get my game face on for the SB game coming up in a little bit.
Can one of you start a SB game thread or will I find this on the SECrb
take care
