But that same pitch was a ball in the 2nd inning on a 2-2 count and then the guy walks and scores.
Then he gets into an argument with fans in between innings after the homerun, I wasn't watching, I wonder if he squeezes the plate on the pitcher to the guy who belted the H.R.
Earlier in the game we had 2 on with 1 out and the POS UMP called 2 balls a foot outside a strike because they set up outside.
Frickin ump is an idot.

REC don't pay baseball umps I guess

Another rough loss. Ump was bad, but consistently bad both ways. It wasn't one sided. Unless we win tomorrow and then win our last two series, we'll be on the road for a regional.

Bama is just a young immature(in terms of baseball) team that needs some more time to grow up. I think they will be very good next season.

This season is free falling. There is simply no excuse to be playing like we are right now with the talent we have. Schedule and facilities be dammned.

The blown win at Tennessee started it. I still think there is time for them to turn it around. At this point I think there is a decent chance to host.

I agree, I hope we turn it around, but it also wouldn't surprise me to finish 500 or below in league play, again. I agree that this team began to lose confidence at UT, but we are 10-9 since the midway point of the season. The bottom line is that we have been playing mediocre (at best) baseball for some time now, and that is not acceptable with top 5-10 talent.

We haven't played good ball for five weeks really, the warning signs have been there. We won three straight series at A&M, vs Auburn, and at Tennessee but we didn't play very well in any of them. For the midst part we didn't pitch well at A&M, blew a three run lead in the game we lost. Didn't hit the ball at all vs Auburn, got three nice starts from the pitching staff though and won the series. Didn't pitch worth a damn in any game at Tennessee, stole the Saturday game and gave it back Sunday. That poor play has caught up to us these past two weeks. Sure there's time to turn it around but it's running short, and it's been bad for awhile now. This team hardly looks like the one that went 5-1 against Ole Miss and Kentucky. Way too many mistakes, and not nearly enough timely hitting.
Beat me to it, these struggles are nothing new. We don't have top 5-10 talent though, unless you're referring to the SEC.

Reasonable minds can differ. 10-15 may be a better range, but point stands.

Fair enough
I'm going to drink. Hopefully tomorrow is better for the team, with each game we lose the next one gets even more important.

Too many wild pitches, errors at key points. And our manager isn't making good decisions at key moments, pulling the starter to early in game 3 of Tenn. or pitching our closer during mid week.
Not pulling Kamplain after 5 innings yesterday etc. etc.
We should have won yesterday and vs. Tenn. then the 13-10 record would be 15-8 and we would be sitting pretty.
Young team I agree, but Gaspard can't cost us games with horrible decisions, Kamplain was toast after 5 yesterday, you can't allow him to start the 6th inning.
We will make the tourney, and then maybe our bats can get going a little.

Keller got Florida out in order in the first. Moore drew a two out walk in the first for us. Wass follows with another walk. Overstreet grounds to short to strand the runners.

One out walk comes around to score with two outs on a double. Inning ends as the next hitter singles to right but Moore throws the runner out at home.
1-0 Florida, B2

Smith and Hughston lead off the 2nd with singles. Vincent can't get a good bunt down and they throw Smith out at 3rd. Webb then hits into a DP on a ground ball that would of scored a run had we been successful with a sac bunt. The little things continue to kill us.
1-0, T3
1-0, T3
