How can uga possibly have that much returning production on defense? Seems like their entire defense was just drafted.

They have almost nothing returning on defense. Their returning production rank is #122. It's the least returning production of any side of the ball on any team in the SEC.

I wonder if there’s a version of this calculation incorporating transfer production that would still be useful. Like if you get a P5 transfer their production can count at a 0.5 rate, for a G5 transfer it could count at a 0.25 rate.
Mainly thinking about someone like Burton here. Sure he’s new to us, and that should result in some kind of penalty, but he’s proven himself and produced at this level already. He shouldn’t be counted the same as an incoming freshman.

Connelly's returning production does include transfers.

I'm surprised by their offense.
Losing White, Cook and Burton on paper looks like it should hurt. However, their total numbers weren't that much in the grand scheme of things. I guess they are going to run a 4-wide TE set.
