You want potential over a proven thing? People always say this u til we have a young guy like Shane Lee at mlb then the potential stuff go away.

Does 247 do their own team ranking apart from the composite? Couldn’t find it.

Well I wouldn’t say Tucker is a for sure thing but I think Forristall , Tennison and Billingsley all bring something different to the table until we sign an elite TE

Banks is the special teams and TE coach. One would think he could sign a TE.

You think Tucker is an elite TE??
Just felt like we could wait til next year with what we have coming back. Much rather have a DL or WR with 4 years of eligibility over a 1year TE is all I was saying

Here's a sucky thought. I'm predicting Bama finishes with Jackson and Rakestraw, but dropping Jones and Baker (both guys shopping late in the game at lesser schools is a tell tale sign they have been told to look around, IMO.) That would leave Bama with 313.31 points. If UGA finishes with the 3 three-star scrubs they think they will, they will finish at 313.35. Sure hope they miss out on Jones, Van Prann or one of the scrubs they are hoping to close with! Would hate to miss on the #1 class by 0.04 points!!

Baker is adamant he will qualify so if his grades convince Saban and Co. that will, then he will sign with us.

Tucker will count against the 85 limit for only one season, and he does not count against the 25 signee limit. I really don't see the issue here?

Hope so, but if both parties felt good about things, I don't think he'd be taking trips to mediocre programs this late in the process. My guess is our coaches don't feel as confident about his grades as he is projecting publicly.
PS--As a side note, if we don't take Baker...I think that may be a clue Story will start his career at WR.

I think he is an elite blocker who has some pass catching skills. I think we will need his blocking more than ever with Tua leaving.
