Would be great to get an athletic TE who can also block.

I agree it'd be great to have one, but are you sure Tucker definitely brings those things to the party much moreso than the TEs we have now?

I think Alabama has what it needs at TE. Let’s see that developed and spend resources on other positions of need.

Of course they'd want a TE like Irv Smith. But if Tucker is comparable to Irv Smith, it seems like he would be able to enter the NFL draft instead of the Transfer Portal as a grad transfer who got a 6th year of eligibility due to injury, and it also seems like Bama would've already offered him.

Look at his body and look at Tuckers. No matter what you may think the staff seems to like him.

Compares to is not the same as being as good as. Also Irv Smith had Tua throwing the ball to him and was in an offense that showcased his talents.

Nope, I didn't mean like Josh McMillon. A'ight. Josh is not a TE nor is he in the Transfer Portal like Carl Tucker. About the only thing they have in common is getting injured early on as a 5th-year senior and thereby getting a 6th year of eligibility. Even if that's all you're referring to, I'm not quite sure what point you're trying to make. It kinda appears to be just another instance of you stating or implying your opinion that yet another Bama player (McMillon) or asst. coach has been a bust. That seems to be your m.o. lately.

i agree. That was pretty much my point. Reading Hank's articles and posts about Bama's interest in Tucker, it sounds like they're just kinda kicking the tires so far. Maybe they'll have him work out some tomorrow to determine if they're going to offer and push for him.

LSU analyst Dennis Johnson headed to Baylor as DL Coach (Geaux247)

Dennis "Meatball" Johnson moved from DL coach to an analyst position before the 2019 season due to problems with his knees, and LSU hired Bill Johnson (from the NFL) as their DL coach. As an off-field analyst, Meatball has remained LSU's key DL recruiter -- via phone and on-campus visits -- incuding having LSU's key relationship with McKinnley Jackson who's taking his OV to LSU this weekend, where he'll learn that Meatball is headed to Baylor to be DL coach for Aranda. LSU has not yet hired Aranda's replacement, but recent reports say LSU is working on hiring Bo Pelini as DC.

So looks like McKinley Jackson, Ennis Rakestraw, and UNC transfer TE to finish 2020

2021 top 2 guys in state we need to lock up: Dylan Brooks and McKinstry.

Who are the other big name in state 2021 guys that will he sought after?

UNC transfer TE Carl Tucker doesn't even have a Bama offer yet. It appears his visit this weekend might include him working out so Bama's staff can evaluate his talent first-hand, to determine if they will offer and make a push for him. There's not much sense in adding a grad transfer TE to the team unless he's good enough to potentially win the starting job for the 2020 season over all of the other TEs on our roster.
