We've withstood all kinds of flashes in the pan opposing coaches. I'm not worried about LSU.

You would think the NCAA would raise an eyebrow with the recent shift in their recruiting. If there is a history of it, then it makes sense. Of course, the NCAA hasn’t looked good with the last couple of scandals. Maybe the thought is do it until they get caught.

I don’t think this will be the downfall of Saban, but I’d rather be clean and lose. I remember all to well the dismal days after we got rocked. I don’t want to go back to that.

The Ogre is only as good as his assistants anyway, his teams will be good when he matches good coaches with talent that LSU usually recruits gets experienced.
Otherwise he is just blowhard we all witnessed at 10rC and we are seeing now.

You all don't realize how desperate LSU and the state of Louisiana was for LSU to beat Bama. This was their national championship. The Baton Rouge newspaper is selling the front page photo after the game as a historical memento. Think about that! This wasn't an SEC championship win or a national championship win. No, this was a regular season win against a team that has dominated you and dominates the series. They'd sell their own mamas to beat Bama so they have no qualms about buying a few players.

Whenever Bama loses a game, the haters love to pronounce Bama "dead and burried, 6 feet under." But, chances are actually pretty decent that the CFP semi-finals will be:
#1 LSU vs #4 Alabama
#2 OSU vs #3 Clemson

There's some credible buzz that LSU is confident in getting 2020 LB Webb, RB Evans, OT Dumervil and maybe flipping WR Demas from A&M. It also appears LSU may be trending for 2021 QB Caleb Williams. LSU's 2020 class is already full at 25 commits and it may be hard to open up spots, since they need OLs and DLs (OG Martinez is Dumervil's teammate). But there are also less credible posts like these. Btw, Bryce Young is all Bama; he doesn't even talk to other schools.

I think and it's just speculation on my part,Orgeron has finally been given the green light to do whatever it takes to out recruit Saban. That's what is fueling his recruiting bravado and this years class is the first installment of that strategy. We will have more evidence of that soon.

Sounds plausible to me.

That scenario would be the ultimate dagger for the corn dogs. They will lose their heads and the Ogre will explode.
Give me healthy Tua with no other critical injuries and I will guarantee that we win that game.

LINK ]Tide atop list of favorites for 2021 Top247 CB following his visit (BamaOnLine-VIP)

2021 4-star CB Jaylin Davies 5-11/165 CA hudl
quote:

“I like how they prepare them for the league. Coach Saban, the way that everything is, it’s like everything is kept in check.” He’s been talking with the staff often since landing an offer back in June. “I talked to them a lot this weekend. I’m pretty close with them. I love them.”

247 Scouting Report: A natural cover corner with good length and is still growing. Long arms, strong in press coverage with the short-area quickness needed to break on the ball. Good not great long speed and, can improve as an athlete but has plenty of time to do so before he hits college. Plays with toughness and is a physical corner who will come up in run support and is an excellent tackler. Is a highly competitive player who likes the challenge of taking on another team's best receiver. Shows good ball skills, is strong in jump-ball situations and has the size and strength to battle with bigger receivers. Projects as a impact upper tier Power 5 starter and future mid-round NFL Draft pick.

Note: Hank CBd Davies to Bama.

Webb arrived right before the game and left right after it. He didn't meet with any Bama staff.

He could be mad about the loss.

I remember reacting similar on a visit myself. I was hot about losing and didn't want to get in the coaches way.

Maybe, but Webb didn't indicate that. All he said about the game was that he really enjoyed it and was mostly focusing on OLBs on both defenses. But, Webb also doesn't tip his hand in interviews. He said he has no leader and plans to take a UV and OV to AU, as well as OVs to UA and UF. It wouldn't surprise me if LSU (or AU) gets him. I'd love for us to, but we'll be fine if we don't. We've got six excellent 2020 LB commits and a couple project versatility to play both inside and outside.

It just seems so weird he would come and leave on an official visit. They usually always stay the night

I dropped it the minute I addressed it.. I knew it was out of character for you. You have always been damn cool..emotions are high on all levels with all of us. Sucked like hell losing to the shrimp boat captain and corn dog suckers...lol I do appreciate you apologizing, speaks volumes of the man you are. Much respect and Roll Tide.

From a Docs perspective..Tua limped pretty hard after the game walking to the locker room. Will that heal up now, or linger on? And is there a chance he could loosen up the tight rope by not letting it heal all the way? I know Bama has doctors that will make those calls.. just wondering your take on it

Zachary Evans CBd to LSU by two Geaux247 mods. A Texas mod followed suit.

ETA: In case anyone missed it on the updated visitors list, Evans no-showed for the Bama vs LSU game.

ETA: Dawgs247's Rusty Mansell has also CBd Evans to LSU.
