The area is the kind of place that if you move to after college you really love, but growing up there tuscaloosa feels like heaven in comparison plus side in high school though we scrimmaged img in the early days and they destroyed us every time. Our AD refuses to play them ever again because the area AD's got butthurt img was recruiting and froze them out.

I hate to break up the Tider95 and biggsc love fest, but I found something on the LSURb tonight I thought I would share.

A poster over there, Mr. Clean, has a website somewhere else that ranked the Top 100 players in Louisiana regardless of class.

Here's the link: Louisiana Sportsline

Some highlights:

quote:

22. Joel Williams DB Madison Prep 6-1, 180 Sr. - In May, Williams committed to Florida on the heels of an unofficial visit to Gainesville. However, after earning an Alabama offer at the Crimson Tide's June camp, he withdrew his commitment from the Gators and will announce a new pledge in September. Took an official visit to Houston in June and traveled to Tuscaloosa twice in a three-week span that month. Ranked as the No. 15 player in the state by 247, No. 14 by Rivals, and No. 10 by ESPN. Madison Prep entered the 3A playoffs as the No. 26 seed and upset No. 7 Jewel Sumner in the first round & No. 10 Caldwell Parish in the second round before losing to eventual state champ Eunice.

quote:

10. Kyle Edwards RB Destrehan 6-0, 210 Sr. - We're giving the nod as the top senior running back in the state to Edwards, who shared touches last year with John Emery, now at LSU. Edwards accounted for two of his team's three touchdowns in a first-round playoff win over Hammond. Ranked as the No. 19 senior in the state by 247Sports and the No. 27 running back in the country. He's listed as a three-star by 247 and a four-star by Rivals, which lists him No. 12 in the state and No. 19 in the country at his position. Alabama, Notre Dame and Michigan are among the programs that have offered Edwards, who is not listed in ESPN's rankings. Will try to carry Destrehan, the No. 2 seed in last year's 5A playoffs, to another deep postseason run. The Wildcats lost to state champ Zachary in a 67-57 semifinal shootout in 2018.

quote:

7. Jacobian Guillory DT Alexandria 6-2, 330 Sr. - On December 20, this Cenla strongman will announce his college choice. It's widely believed that LSU will sign the consensus four-star prospect, who is ranked fifth in the state by 247, sixth by ESPN, and sixth by Rivals. According to Louisiana Gridiron Football, Guillory has a 370-pound bench, 625-pound deadlift, and a 740-pound squat. He's part of ASH's national championship powerlifting team and is a two-time national champion lifter. He is also a two-time state champion in the shot put with a throw of 55 feet, 5 inches, this spring.

quote:

1. Kayshon Boutte WR Westgate 5-11, 185 Sr. - In March, Boutte clocked a 20.87 in the 200 meters, which at the time was third-best in the nation. He is ranked fourth in the state by Rivals, second by 247, and first by ESPN. Boutte grabbed 50 receptions for 805 yards and 10 touchdowns as a junior while adding 421 yards and six scores on the ground. What's even more impressive is that he was able to post those numbers with three different starting quarterbacks. He also plays defense at times for Westgate, which reached the Class 4A playoffs as a No. 25 seed in 2018 and upset No. 8 Plaquemine in the first round. In that game, Boutte returned a kick 93 yards for a touchdown and added 169 yards receiving on 11 catches (and 20 yards on 4 carries). He is committed to LSU, which is trying to fend off a big push by Alabama.

Same here. 6'6'' 216. Need to get him going for the CFP.

That would be great and all but the dude has 0 catches last year and this year... I wouldn’t expect too much of him

Not really. Of course they’re not under a governing body. They recruit kids nationally to come there. Would you want to play them as a public school restricted to the kids in your district?

He’s not an LSU guy. Lives in Lafayette. Was actually the first to write an article on Slade when he was in 7th grade and add him to the Scout database. Let me see if I can find the article.

It's crazy because our rival school is Manatee high school which at one point from 09-13 was playing the best teams in the country and getting ranked top 10 nationally (it was a really fun time to be living there, seeing top 10 recruits every week if you went to there games)... they wouldn't even think about playing IMG. IMG is the most hated high school football entity in the state of Florida, people like St. Thomas Aquinas more.

Check out this shite:

Three-Point Stance: Houston redshirts, bad hires, recruiting

quote:

... The Zachary Evans saga will have many more twists and turns but Tank Bigsby is the better running back. If Georgia somehow steals Bigsby away from Auburn to pair him with Kendall Milton, the Bulldogs will be happier than if they landed Evans. It’s just a hunch, of course, but one I am feeling stronger about each day. Bigsby could be the best back in this class.

Mike Farrell has Kirby's dick falling out of his mouth. He'll do anything to ensure Alabama doesn't have the top class on Rivals.

More Alabama shade from the same article:

quote:

... For as talented as Bryce Young is, USC could be better off without him. The Trojans were able to squeeze 2021 quarterback Jake Garcia into a commitment after Young decommitted and the team's current roster boasts a lot of young quarterback talent. While Young would give Clay Helton or a new coach more options on offense, Garcia could be the better quarterback in the long run. He won’t get as much attention at USC as Young gets at Alabama, but he might be a better fit in Graham Harrell’s offense.

This fricking guy.

Rivals Roundtable: Which prospect is the toughest to rank?

quote:

MIKE FARRELL, National recruiting director

While I don't have a region, I will say that Bryce Young is that guy for me. You see him in big games and he's outstanding and makes you think he's the next Kyler Murray but in person he can be underwhelming because of his lack of size and some accuracy issues. The guy who freelances and dominates on the field is the guy we have ranked so high, but if you saw him in camp settings you'd never think this was a high four-star prospect.

What. The. frick.

What matters more, Mike, playing the fricking game or performing in a Goddamn camp?

Unfrickingbelievable.

I found this on the GoVols247 board via the Georgia 247 board:

You never know what you'll find lurking other teams' boards.

Honestly I find the best info from other teams board because when they bring us up for a recruit... I find its because they are already melting from something they consider fact

Gilbert would really make Farrell upset... and a UGA commit? Oof he may need a day or two to recover

Also what accuracy issues? His stats don't show it and his game film sure as hell doesn't look any worse than Barnett's did... and I seem to remember Farrell f*cking loved BB

Bryce Young's performance at The Opening / Elite 11 Finals was great. DJ Uiagalelei didn't even participate. But he's tall and not a Bama commit.

ETA: Oh wait. Farrell is doubling down now:

LINK ]Ask Farrell: Could Uiagalelei, Young win a national title?
quote:

"When you see what Jalen Hurts did in the Alabama offense, that's what Young can do. He's not as big, but he's a better passer."

He didn't even compare him to Tua. Even idiots can see Young's talents & playing style are way more like Tua's than Jalen's.
