Roy may be the most likely of all our top targets to sign with Bama.

I tried to find the post about this. I went back 10 pages or so and couldn’t find it. Didn’t you post that the guy that called Surtain and Sopsher to Bama before anyone say Roy is coming to Bama too?

Is the National Championship game in New Orleans this year? If we make it there I want to go and I’m just trying to figure out where it is going to be.
Yep. Google search is your friend.

Kendall Milton got a CB to UGA today from 247 Recruiting Director, Steve Wiltfong.

Eta: Per Hank today, Kendall Milton has already made his decision and plans to announce it on July 29. Hank said he's leaning toward changing his old CB pick from Bama to UGA.

Eta: Greg Biggins, 247 west region analyst and lead expert on Milton has also CBd him to UGA.

Eta: Hank has changed his CB for Milton to UGA.

Xavion Alford will return for the cookout next month and has an OV set for the LSU game.

Eta: Alford picked up a CB to Bama from a Florida mod today.

Eta: "The four-star, do-it-all DB is the Tide’s to lose if you ask me. After working out in Tuscaloosa earlier this month, the Houston area product is raving about Alabama... Alford is cousins with Tide WR Jaylen Waddle." - Hank

Reggie Grimes said his top six of Bama, FSU, LSU, USCe, UTe and Vandy are all still equal. He has two OVs set -- Bama for the Southern Miss game, Tennessee for the UGA game. He'll also visit for Bama's cookout in July and plans to announce his commitment on Nov 2.

One of the “insiders” / “I’ve got sauces!! They told me..” guys on the LSUrb said that he’s gotten word Roy will be a tiger and will go public in either this week or next. We’ll see. Their insiders routinely get piss poor information, i.e. 5for5, surtain, Landon Collins, etc.

My favorite part of signing day, besides us signing great classes, the past few years is reading their board after their “insiders” get their hopes up only to be let down. I enjoy it so much because they have the worst fan base across all sports I’ve ever dealt with. They also blame everything on Saban and Alabama even if we have nothing to do with a situation.

New faces break through on Day 2 of the Elite 11 Finals (247Sports | segments)
quote:

FRISCO, TX — Day 2 at the Elite 11 Finals was the last tuneup for the quarterbacks before their all-star teammates arrive for the rest of the week. Using local high school athletes, the day also served as the first opportunity to make throws against an actual defense.

Each quarterback got roughly 10 throws to work with in a red zone, situational setting. With a new environment some new names had an opportunity to shine. While there were a lot of drops and receiver miscues to navigate, it wasn’t hard to identify some quarterbacks that separated. Similar to Saturday’s action, Sunday’s competition should still take a back seat to the competition that’s still to come when the all-star 7on7 kicks off (pro-style/dual-threat ranking per Top247 in parenthesis). National analyst Charles Power contributed to this piece.

3: BRYCE YOUNG, COMMITTED TO SOUTHERN CAL (#1 DT-QB)

Throw to throw, Young may have had the most impressive day once again. Among 11 throws, Young didn’t really miss on anything. Three separate end zone dimes were dropped for touchdowns. He never made a bad decision and his receivers couldn’t help him out with touchdown opportunities but even his incompletions were well-placed footballs in coverage. His combination of feel, arm talent and the ability to sync up his feet with his eyes make him really dependable.

LSU WR commit Jermaine Burton admitted he almost committed to Bama last fall. He’s still keeping in touch with Tide WR coach Holmon Wiggins and said he plans to take an OV to Bama this fall.

At The Opening, 5-star cornerback and LSU commit Elias Ricks told 247Sports he not only plans to take an official, but also an unofficial visit to Bama. The dates aren't set yet.

Thanks TS for the detailed response. My take is that we are losing elite receivers next year with not much eliteness left in the bank, hence we would go out and load up on WR talent with a mix of elite and potentially elite talent. Like we have done with LBs.
How the numbers play out with regard to other positions? That's Saban's call.
Except for Bell,I don't think we have anybody that can be considered a Jeudy or Ruggs.
But nothing is set in stone yet.Numbers and names will change and we may still end up with at least Five top flight WR's.
