According to Kristian Story's 247 profile, he plans to announce his commitment on July 18.

So who do you guys think will be the QB in this class for us? I see this a a huge key to the 2020 class. With Tua likely leaving after this year, and with guys like Mac Jones and Lia being completely untested--bringing in a high-profile QB who can compete from day 1 would seem to be a priority.

I don't think we'll land a high-profile QB in the 2020 class. I think Bryce Young will sign with USC. Bama likes Kristian Story (who's likely to commit to Bama on July 18) best at safety, but he's a pretty good QB too. So he could provide "insurance" (as the 4th QB) for the 2020 season in case of injury(ies) to our 3 main QBs (Mac, Lia and Paul). Then, we should be able to land a very good QB prospect in the 2021 cycle.

Yea even though most QBs aren’t scared of competition, it would be smart to wait a year and see how our current group of youngsters plays out

Interesting, and probably correct. That's a gamble, since we literally have no idea if Mac Jones or Lia will turn out to be elite SEC QB material or not. If neither do, 2020 could be a pretty disappointing season if we don't bring in a stud QB this cycle. Guess we cross our fingers on Mac and/or Lia being the real deal.
Just seems like with Tua likely on the way to the NFL, 5-star QB's would be salivating for the chance to come in and take his spot on the best team in the country.

Someone explain to me the allure of LSU to WRs. They have run an offense that's a half step above the option in terms of passing for over a decade now, and yet these highly regarded WRs flock to them annually. I really don't get it.

Yeah, Burton is real good. He almost committed to Bama last year, but after he moved to Cali not much activity followed between him amd Bama. I was surprised by his sudden interest in and commitment to LSU.
