I see where now the highest Auburn commit in state is like #19. Big change for us in the past few years with getting more in state talent.
Alabama dominated the in-state class in 2019 as well.

Do they not understand that Bama had a camp and the kid committed once he had a legit offer? It's not always a damn conspiracy, he had a great camp, got an offer and that was it

The Gus bus is sputtering. I don't know if he finishes the season. I guess it depends on the buyout situation though.

Do recruits even know he negotiated his contract to save his job?

Sounds like Kennedy will be an ILB for us. Is that accurate?

Kennedy is rated the No. 6 outside linebacker and the No. 96 overall player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Rankings.
Last season, Kennedy amassed 100 tackles, includes 12 sacks. He also had two pick-sixes on the season.
The Tide's class ranks No. 2 in the nation jumping LSU, which briefly held the 2-spot this weekend, according the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Team Recruiting Rankings.
Kennedy is the fifth linebacker in the class, joining Chris Braswell, Drew Sanders, Jackson Bratton, and De'Rickey Wright.
The newest Tide pledge likely projects on the inside at the next level, which is a position of need for the program in 2020.

Here’s 247Sports’ eval of the in-state talent:
“Muscular, well-proportioned athlete with lengthy frame. Physical specimen who can really run and finish from linebacker position. Violent football player with immense lower-body explosiveness. Comfortable in space though sometimes plays outside of frame or not under control. Plays with reckless abandon for his body. Upside as an edge rusher with good first step and bend. Athletic traits and length to excel as drop defender but raw in coverage ahead of senior football campaign. Has clocked 10.9 in the 100 meter dash within the year. Can shed blocks with extension and power. Could stand to improve from a technical standpoint through responsibility in tight quarters. Will add mass in SEC program but has enough size and athleticism to make reserve impact right away before pushing towards All-Conference ceiling. Should hear his name called in the middle rounds of the NFL draft.”

LINK ]Kennedy explains why he chose Alabama over LSU (BamaOnLine | embedded video)
quote:
Nick Saban and company landed commitment No. 19 on Sunday morning as LINK ]Demouy Kennedy announced his decision to roll with the Tide after having a standout performance at camp on Saturday. The four-star linebacker from Theodore (Ala.) says it came down to Alabama or LSU.
“Bama, they had me as a hybrid and that’s what I’ve always wanted to play,” he told BamaOnLine. “I feel like that’s what I’m good at playing. LSU, they had me as just a pass rusher and they told me they weren’t going to drop me in coverage. I didn’t like that. I went with what’s best for me. It was between the battle of LSU and Bama. And when I found out how both were going to use me I knew what I wanted to do.”
The realization that Alabama was the choice for him came during a sit-down with UA’s defensive coordinator. “I knew when I was in that room with Pete Golding and he was just showing me how he was going to use me,” Kennedy said. “Then I met Dylan Moses, and (Golding) said he was going to use me just like him and I already knew it.”

Kennedy’s primary recruiter Sal Sunseri also played a big role. “Man, I love him,” Kennedy said of Sunseri. “He’s going to take care of me and make sure I’m alright. He’s a great coach and a great man. He’s funny, too. He’s real funny and energetic and I love it.”
A one-time Auburn commit, Kennedy had named LSU his favorite prior to visiting Alabama on Saturday. But according to the in-state ‘backer, the love for the Tide was always there. “I’ve always been an Alabama fan,” he said. “My whole room is Alabama, actually.”
And UA fans need not worry about where his pledge stands. “I’m shutting everything down,” Kennedy said. “I’m focusing on my senior year and getting my teammates to the next level and getting them offers. I’m focused on winning the region and getting state.”
Kennedy will be back on campus for the Champions Cookout on June 21. He’s excited about his future home. “It’s just the tradition they have and how they put players out,” he said of what he likes best about the program. “They put the most players the NFL. Then Nick Saban, he’s not just preparing you for football, he’s preparing you for life and how to be successful after football.”
At 6-foot-2, 204 pounds, Kennedy is rated the No. 6 outside linebacker and the No. 96 overall player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Oh man the irony...the corn dogs despise Saban and think of him as the devil himself but in reality LSU’s rise to being looked at as a blue blood in CFB is only because of Saban. LSU wasn’t much at all until Nick arrived and then Les rode his success for as long as he could muster. They should worship the ground Nick walks on...I’m glad they don’t, though...it’s more fun this way.
