I know Petty has announced he's committing on November 10th but I'm hearing rumors that something big could happen with him this weekend.

If he is committing to us, then I think he'll wait to do it the 10th with Sexton. That way it'll be more exposure for the both of them, and the program.

It will get tons of exposure no matter when he commits. I actually think it would be better if he announced this weekend and Sexton announces on the 10th

No doubt it would be covered heavily regardless, but don't you think having 2 5* commit on the same day would be better? This would not only highlight Alabama getting two program changing recruits, but also Alabama winning battles against blueblood programs like Kentucky and Kansas.
I'm just happy we get to finally argue about this.

I highly doubt he would intentionally troll the flagship university of the state in which he lives while it is a finalist in his recruiting decision. Just doesn't make sense.

I think if they both commit on the same day then you get coverage that day and maybe the next. If they commit on the 3rd (for example) and the 10th then you get 4 days worth of coverage out of it - if that matters.

Can't sign on the 3rd. I think they want to commit and sign on the dotted line at their announcement. Maybe I'm wrong.

I doubt he shoots so much that he can't hold a pen at halftime.
I get what you're saying, and he can sign after the game. I just meant the guys probably want to be able to announce and sign without having to wait a week. Seems like they just want to get it over with and get on with their seasons.

Good melt, but they actually praised Avery for the most part. Several of them said they are frustrated that their AD can't find the Avery football equivalent.

It sucks when an absolute football-only school destroys us in a recruiting class- an important recruiting class at that.
