Important that you point that out, Gongora. Smith's recruitment could be a means to an end...

My concern is now this: We have 1 scholarship left available right? I know Jr could drop to walk on but his pride might not allow that. So do we go all in on Sexton or do we press on Sexton, Petty and Brown and just let things take care of themselves?

We could also have some guys either, decide to transfer or be encouraged to transfer.

Do We Now Have A NCAA tournament level team now, or least in '18?

Barring significant injury, we have a decent shot at making the tourney this season imo.

I didn't think it would impact initially because I wasn't expecting us to land Smith until earlier this week. I'm starting to re-gain my confidence in signing Petty.

Depends on the development and if they stay injury free. I think Reese will need some time to develop if he's going to truly be a threat inside the paint. He has the talent, but some have been iffy on his aggressiveness.

That's Brian Snow's quick thoughts on Smith.

I dont follow BB season until closer to the end of FB season. Can someone please give me the starting 5 and the next 5 off the bench and also tell me what year they are in school? Thanks to you BB gurus.

If the season started today, I'd go with rs freshman dazon ingram at pg, senior corban collins at sg, junior nick king at sf, senior shannon hale at pf, and senior jimmie taylor at C.
Not saying that should be the starters but that's who i think will start. I'd say the next guys are junior forward riley Norris, junior guard armond davis, sophomore center donta hall, freshman forward braxton key and senior center bola olaniyan. I'd be fine replacing the pf and center spots with younger players who i think are/can be better.

Those would be my picks too. Wouldn't be surprised if Armond and Hall are starters by conference season

so Jr. is not in the two deep?
Plus Taylor has not progressive much on the O side. He may be a backup from day one. First big off the bench. Plus didnt he stay in foul trouble

Jimmie Taylor will definitely be the starting Center to start the season imo.
