I completely agree but we all know that's what they want to be told, especially Petty. Sexton seems to be more interested in improving his game...which is good for us, but Petty wants to be paid. Pure and simple. And I don't mean a pay to play, I just mean he's thinking nothing but NBA as quickly as possible. If I'm Avery, I'm telling both of them that they will have all the minutes they want in a crimson uniform to show their talents to NBA scouts.

I'm not sure that Petty's taking that approach. The allure of playing at Kentucky is being BMOC and making a deep run in the tournament.
I believe we can prepare him better for the league and help him make more money.

We can easily make a big run in the tourney with players like him tho. Some players think the name "Kentucky" is gonna get them a ring. No, the players and coaches do. We have a top 3 coaching staff in the SEC, all we need is some elite players and we'll be able to compete for championships.

I'm so excited about this season. I really do feel like we're gonna make the tourney. We were soooo close last year and we had one main guy (Retin) who could score. This year we have many options.
