Do y'all really trust Dazon that much at point? I think he plays off the ball a good bit honestly. Collins will get a ton of minutes at the point. Avery's system is a bit untraditional anyway. You'll see a lot of Davis, Ingram and Collins at the same time if the ball is moving the way Avery wants and we are getting shots up quickly.
If he's not handling the ball we'd be better off with him off of the court. He's not a shooter and isn't used to playing an off-ball position. He's also our best ball handler and playmaker. I understand your hesitancy to trust a guy that barely played in his freshman year, but he started there last year and has just as little, if not less, competition this year. He's a shoe-in to start at point.

He's got the frame and talent level to be a possible future NBA guy at the position if he develops the right way under Avery.
I really thought we missed out on a few things when he went out. One was that he just got the ball up court quicker and got us in to our sets faster than Coleman did. It led to the occasional turnover, but that should be expected from a freshman PG. Retin was our best at attacking the basket to score, but I thought Ingram was the best at attacking to pass. One of my biggest complaints about our offense at times was the lack of anyone driving and kicking. Lastly we missed his rebounding. Having a PG that can rebound just speeds the whole offense up. Even if he doesn't bring it up himself he can usually find an outlet faster than our bigs can.

Still don't think we have a chance, but I certainly didn't foresee a visit from him.

Yeah I doubt it leads to anything but it would be awesome to be wrong.

Would be epic to land him and/or Brown to go along with Sexton and Petty. That's a backcourt that Duke and Kentucky would turn their head at.

Looks like we have 2018 post Javian Fleming on campus today, and we followed that up with an official offer.

He's supposedly a good back to the basket big whose biggest issue is his conditioning.

John Petty will be on campus for an unofficial Thursday!

Sounds like he didn't graduate

How does a grad transfer not become academically cleared? Tomorrow is the last day to enroll.

Avery Johnson also said Corban Collins will be starting LINK

I can't remember who it was, but someone in this thread was adamant he would start. Good call by them.
