It just all makes since. Everyone in Huntsville knows that Petty has "played the game a little" andKY really can't afford to take a risk on that right now IMO. Not to mention that they have found guys who they probably like better. I could be wrong but his trainer told me months ago he though he would end up at Bama. I also thought we would get Buck Johnson son but it seems Avery has bigger fish to fry.

I'm not getting my hopes up on Petty. Usually when Kentucky wants someone, they get him. But what a class it would be to get Reese, Jones, Petty, and Sexton.

Cal wouldn't just NOT take him. I mean, you can be UK's 8th man and still get drafted these days. Petty knows that. I just hope he's the type that is hungry for PT. He'd get a whole lot more at Bama.

I have no insider info. Here's my predictions. Sexton, Herb, Reese, Hammonds.
I think we have a really good legit shot at Petty but I just can't make myself pick him yet. If I had to pick today, I would still say UK gets him. That's just my gut feeling.

Same. Herb and Sexton I'm sure we'll get. Just a matter of time.
Reese and Hammonds we may have to fight for. But I'm confident we'll land Hammonds because I don't think UGA will be that good this year and may look for another HC.

I believe for the 2017/18 season, Avery adds Herb Jones, Alex Reese, John Petty, Collin Sexton, along with transfer Daniel Giddens to the team.
I think Rayshaun Hammonds, Luke Garza, Troy Brown, Jamal Johnson and anyone else we are recruiting go somewhere else.

I agree with the order there. The only one I'm super confident about is Jones. I've seen this program be too snakebit for so long now. For that reason I can't count Sexton as a lock even though the crystal ball has him at 100%. Coin flips for Reese and Hammonds for me. I think UK gets Petty if they want him.

If we get Sexton to commit soon, I have a feeling we will get a few more crystal ball picks for Brown (not sure if we'll get him or not) and I think Petty will commit if Sexton does.
