I wonder why he transferred though?

We had a top 10 recruiting class coming in and he had already been at Bama 2 years (sat 1 and was sick the other year) with hardly any playing time. He probably didn't wanna take a chance of wasting his third year stuck on the bench. But now that I see how good he is, he would've been a huge part of our team this year

Yeah but Norris never handles the ball whereas Herbert plays like a guard.

true but 2.5 turnovers/game in a bit over 20 minutes/game is a ton.

I don't think anyone is going to argue that.

Yeah he's a turnover machine really.

Herb is better in all of Norris' prior positive areas (rebounding, all around team defense).

Herb benefits rebounding by playing most minutes at the 3. For comparison, Norris had better Oreb% & Dreb% in 2017 than Herb right now while playing most minutes @ the 3

Herb also averages 5.5 fouls per 40 minutes. To play 50-60% of minutes, he needs to stay out of foul trouble

Yea - I think it'll all really depend on matchups and foul situations. I still like Norris getting minutes, but he's got to make open looks on offense.

Norris is 6 of 19 from 3

It feels like it's much worse

Guy has always been a foul machine. At OSU he had some 18/33 games w 4+ fouls despite avg about 18-20mpg. It's honestly impressive

It seems the past couple game tho he's learned to play a little more under control, and he's been able to make an impact in the games. And those were against good teams too (URI and Zona). Hopefully that continues

It is college basketball, big men have BS calls almost any time a guard drives the lane. It sucks, but it is the way the game is called in today's game. With Sexton though, Bama should benefit from it more often than not

We better make some hay at the start of SEC season, because our last month is brutal

1/31 - vs Missouri
2/3 - @ Florida
2/6 - @ Miss State
2/10 - vs Tennessee
2/13 - vs LSU
2/17 - @ Kentucky
2/21 - @ Auburn
2/24 - vs Arkansas
2/27 - vs Florida
3/3 - @ Texas A&M

Warren Nolan "Predicted Games" has us going 18-13 (8-10) and finishing with a RPI of #27 (SOS #18). Crazy.

Using RPI Forecast (again, it's early, but it's a decent general idea), assuming the following results

Mercer - W
Texas - W
Texas A&M - L
@ Vandy - W
@ Georgia - L
South Carolina - W
@ LSU - W
Auburn - W
Mississippi St - W
@ Ole Miss - W
Oklahoma - W
Missouri - W
@ Florida - L
@ Mississippi St - L
Tennessee - L
LSU - W
@ Kentucky - L
@ Auburn - L
Arkansas - W
Florida - L
@ Texas A&M - L

That's not exactly a great season, and yet......

19-12 (9-9)
#30 RPI
#6 SOS

I cant see us losing @Mississippi State or @Georgia but, I also think we will slip up in 2 games in predicts us to win so it evens out.

I also think we will split with both aTm and Florida.

Well that's good to know they should have called it when there was less than 2 minutes left in the game and they mauled him.

You know Sexton is #3 nationally in fouls drawn per 40min right?

It isn't going to go his way every time obviously, but he is top 5 in the country at it.
