Sadly, the swing occurred on the fast break when Sexton dunked, was fouled with no call, and missed it. We were up 5 and it went down to a 1 shortly thereafter. If we could have gone up by seven and gotten another stop we probably would have won

sexton, petty and ingram going 12 for 38 from the field is not going to get it

only 8 turnovers was an improvement and FT shooting as well

19 wins is probably enough to get us into the tournament. That means we have to go 12-9 the rest of the way to feel good about a bid before the conference tournament.

From most to least likely to win, I'd rank our games like this

Mercer ("Neutral" Site)
LSU
South Carolina
Mississippi State
@Vanderbilt
@LSU
Auburn
@Ole Miss
Missouri
Oklahoma
@Mississippi State
@Georgia (12th easiest game)
---------
@Auburn
Texas
Arkansas
Tennessee
Florida
A&M
@A&M
@Florida
@Kentucky

Probably best to not watch for the rest of the season then.

Tough loss to a very good team. We could have won.

Hall is getting better and better every game.

Petty needs to live up to his rep.

Key might be the piece that makes a difference.

Tex A&M is really good. Hate to open SEC play against them.

I never thought I would see Donta with an offensive game but he was doing work on that end yesterday. One of the biggest year 1 to year 3 improvements we've seen at Alabama in basketball.

Key will be huge. Our Starting 5 with him will be as good as anybodys. Ingram who was our 2nd best player last year will be our worst starter. Not a bad spot to be in.

Ingram is great at getting in the paint. He needs to become a good mid range shooter and continue to get better at free throws. I think he could easily become an all sec tho elf player if he does that

Still completely blown away by the fact Collin Sexton got kicked in the face right in front of the ref and no foul was called. They review it and no flagrant. The commentator's kept talking about intention, but it doesn't matter. Excessive contact to the head and neck area is an automatic flagrant. Avery needs to send in that tape to the NCAA. They didn't call it in real time and got a second chance in the review and completely blew it. That was a major shift in momentum for Arizona. There were shitty calls throughout the 2nd half, but that one was inexcusable.

Yeah I thought that was bs. I didn't really know the specifics of the rule, so I didn't complain too much.

Always wonder why Ingram doesn't work more on trying to shoot midrange jumpers. He's a decent ball handler, but can't seem to push the ball through traffic and get a basket. Last night, he tried to attack the basket with 3 big men sitting there waiting to block the shot.

I missed most of the Arizona game due to my wife's work xmas party. Just now got a chance to watch all of it.

For the people complaining, we would have lost that game by 40 points most recent years. I thought, overall, the team played very well.

Hall was looking good in the second half of last year, but he's improved even more since then. And, it is good to see Giddens starting to come alive and put in some good minutes.

Petty. I think maybe he's been trying to keep up with Sexton. He needs to relax and just play his game. I like to see him drive and dish when he keeps his feet under him. He's a good finisher when he gets to the rim, and trying some 12 foot pull up jumpers probably wouldn't be a bad idea. Hopefully, he'll calm down and his 3's will start falling more consistently.

Getting Key back can't hurt, but I've never been as high on him as some of you guys. He makes 3's at about the same rate as Norris. Both those guys need to shoot better. And Key made some of the worst turnovers on the team last year. Hopefully being expected to handle the ball less will help him this year. I expect him to be rusty when he does come back.

Anyway, despite the board negativity, this team is the best we've had in a long time. I'm not expecting final four, and never was, but they're going to continue to improve. They'll be in the tournament.
