Issac Hass fractured his elbow, out for the tournament
So, if the Lord grants us victory tomorrow, the remaining road is
- West Virginia/Marshall
- Florida/Arkansas/Butler/Texas Tech/Purdue minus Hass
We shall overcome

it's honestly really hard to discuss some of the "advanced metrics" (though at this point they are pretty mainstream) with the general public aka the Rant.
I do my best to try and simplify and ensure any use is easy to conceptualize + interpret
ORtg is generally one I never use as a primary metric because people don't know how to benchmark it and it's hard to tie back into an impact on the game both in terms of supporting role + primary role impact.
Generally speaking, I've found doing the following significantly helps when presenting adv stats
- Use nat'l/SEC ranks when available, people always like rankings
- Use relative benchmarking with known players. Compare O/D reb% to Yante Maten for example
- Incorporate raw "per 40" in there but pivot to explaining why 'this is misleading because XYZ'

How long you guys think Avery can keep Petty in the dark about being in Pittsburg and not Tuscaloosa?
Only metric I'm worried about.

I think if we can hold them below 75 we win.

She's not unattractive at all, and with that kind of passion she's probably a ton of fun when the lights go out.
But you just know if she ever thinks he so much as looked at some cute coed she'll go full Lorena Bobbitt on him.

Damn Butler is good at hiring bball coaches.Lavar Jordan seems like a future star.Team seemed well coached and his interview was impressive.
On another note. Damn Arkansas may be as bipolar as us.

I know that feeling
So there's this super weird narrative in the AU community that Danjel Purifoy wasn't that big of a loss and they don't care if he comes back while Wiley would make us universe champions
I legit explained on the AU board the other day how Danjel Purifoy before getting injured was AU's best player by nearly every possible statistical metric
I no sh*t got this answer

I watched the game and am a professional arm chair coach so gfy. Stats dont mean everything. One day you will learn that

I was a math major and work in a statistics heavy corporate finance role. This stuff is all I think about, it's as important to me as watching the game itself

How much Colorado medicine did Avery pack?

We also have to kind of expect that same offensive performance from our end too. I don't want to say the last game was an anomaly, but how often do we see Bama play that efficient on offense? Conversely, I guess you could ask how often do we see Sexton get held to 3 points in the first half too.
I say we pound Hall and Smith inside early and see if we can get Nova in foul trouble early. Alabama simply needs to limit the turnovers on offense to have a chance against Nova.

100%. We do half of that and we have a possible 10 more points.
