Walton seems like a good dude but I don't want to hear him call a game. He was working in lyrics to the Dead's The Wheel last night. WTF?

lololol

Walton is great when you have just a passing interest in the game.

Walton is terrible when you actually care about the game

You are right on that. Thought he’d be with Luke helping him out with the Lakers

He's a good coach. His problem is that he's too good of a dude and won't get mixed up in the AAU Scene.

I think Vitale should do the play-by-play commentary. I may be in the minority here, but his excitement in the game is something I actually enjoy. It's his analysis that's terrible.

I don't think vitale wants to be the center of attention.. he always manages to make it about the kids on the court . Guy loves the game ...Is he over the top? Of course. But he's paid to do a little of everything. Btw don't let anyone tell u mark fox doesn't play the AAU game...They all do to an extent.

Makes me happy because we will be able to pick off Georgia prospects a little easier, but I don't get why he turned it down unless he truly doesn't want to be a coach again yet. UGA is a very underrated gig. A wealth of resources and a wealth of talent in the state. UGA is a sleeping giant in basketball. It'll just take a solid coach who's willing to get their hands dirty to turn them into a perennial NCAAT team.

UGA posters I had seen are bitching about the admin.'s commitment to basketball....facilities are shite, don't want to pay big money and there is no real plan to do anything about it,,,,

shite, they offered Matta $3.2 million per for 5 years. That ain’t chump change. I think Matta needs some time off to deal with health issues.

Ole Miss is rumored to have a deal with Kermit Davis.

And Tubby is out at Memphis and they are working out a contract with Penny Hardaway.

I imagine Hardaway is ultra connected in AAU. He's an EYBL coach right now I'm pretty sure

Too Little too late I think... Wiseman is Kentucky's to lose. I used to think of penny as a great player and he was...Now my memory of him is getting an earful last year vs sexton and pebble brook .

I got invited to the BC Camp in Georgia in the 80's and Hardaway was there, he was in 9th grade at the time. I remember coaches making fun of him playing the point. You thought he was skinny in college? Imagine 9th grade Penny. I remember thinking 'dude will never make it'

Avery just had his NCAA tourney press conference. He said Donta Hall hasn’t done much in practice and is about 60/40 right now. Will be a game-time decision

Videos and pics from today’s practice are coming out and Hall looks good. Had a guy that’s at the practice say he looks great
