Yeah we played UCLA in the 2nd game... Main thing I remember about that game is that Richard Hendrix almost drained like a 3/4 court shot before halftime.

so what? Is Giddens hurt?

(A) Yes, he did get hurt against Auburn
(B) Giddens can't play 40 minutes
(C) Smith against Auburn was as good or better than Giddens has been all year

The Big East championship on a Saturday night at MSG between two old school Northeastern Catholic schools is as good as it gets.

One thing I wish the SEC fans would do better is show up to these neutral site games. Unless UK is playing the SECtourney is half empty

He dogs the people who mop sweat in Coleman coliseum too. He's serious about players not slipping out there.

I think it was more the 'how' he went about it that was the problem.

He may have had a point, but his reputation at Auburn is extremely poor by how he behaved

As for Bruce, that was a sore loser bitch move yesterday. I love the guy, but his actions were dumb

I agree his actions were dumb. There is no reason for a HC to be involved in any altercation w a S&C coach or hell even an Assistant.

HCs should know they're above that and walk away.

I agree Pearl deserves blame and it is a bad look regardless of his excuse. He should have accepted by blame, apologized and moved on

As for the excuse, I believe DeNeen definitely braced/cold shouldered Bruce. Bruce has quite a few lbs on DeNeen and he gets turned/ while DeNeen doesn't even lose balance/really turn except to face Bruce. Maybe DeNeen is just that built, but someone would perceive it as a cold shoulder

By basketball rules that's a charge on Bruce and his fault. DeNeen has his right to his standing spot and not get hit

so with Duke and UNC likely being a #2 seed and us a #10, I'd like to stay away from both of those brackets because you know you'll have to play in N Carolina, no thanks. I'd rather stay out of Charlotte.

Is it bad that I wish it had clearly been DeNeens fault so we could have a reason to have to fire him?

I'll also add to the above that DeNeen being in that walking area is extremely confusing.

-Standard handshake peelouts doesn't get him there (You curve back around towards your side of handshake line not opponents)
-No other Bama personnel or players near him
-No other people standing around
-No reason for a S&C coach to be posting up in the middle of the court and not clearing out
-He was legit in the most obtrusive place for AU personal to force them to go around him close to cheerleaders

I'm not saying the guy was doing anything purposefully wrong, but it's not a far leap since it's hard to explain

No it’s not.

On a side note. How was the Big Ten able to do their conference tournament already?

Last thoughts

Bruce F'd up. It was a bad move and he was wrong.

I don't blame the Bama guy, can't get blamed for standing still. Just he may have been increasing the chances of a confrontation
