I couldn’t have said it better myself. We’re in a good position with Avery. He’s not perfect but he’s definitely turned this program around. We were absolute trash and couldn’t make the tourney or even beat a ranked team for years. Now here we are with 5 ranked wins and likely a tourney berth. No matter what happens, he deserves our support this year and next year (until something changes for the worst)

Yeah, I'm not sure how Nick King's great season points to a lack of development when he was sick the entire season he was eligible here. People who watched practices during Retin's breakout season said that Nick King was our best player in practice. If anything it points to his knack of finding underrated talent.
There's real concern surrounding Avery's ability as a collegiate coach, but that one doesn't make much sense to me.
That was a random thought that I 100% should have just swallowed. It had no place in the conversation. I do that shite all of the time. Sorry about that one

Hopefully the UKCat fans will get in early and pull against playing Auburn again.
Every little bit helps.
no second shots/rebound, please!

He was the #37 recruit and a pretty high profile transfer to Alabama. Not sure I'd call it underrated talent
Nick King doing well at MTSU doesn't really say anything about Avery Johnson. He was sick last year and left before he could do anything else

Our guards can't collapse down to help the bigs. They need to stay out and guard and get all of the long rebounds. Auburn gets a ton of them. I'm getting nervous

Herbert is starting over Petty
Galin still in the lineup as well

It's difficult to find the top 50 diamonds in the rough

Seems like Avery has finally had enough of Giddens too. I have no problem with that either

My heart is beating out of my chest.

Just hope we can get a decent start for once and not play catch-up

This is the starting lineup I’ve been wanting to see.

Probably don't need to worry too much, AU has had double digit deficits in the first 10 minutes of 4 of the past 5 games
No reason to think that streak will end today

I don't understand all of Auburn's slow starts. I don't know if it just takes em awhile to warm up or what.

But I remember the one game they weren’t down. They had us like 16-2 or something?? Lol

I think we trail for 38 minutes and steal it in the end.

Who knows. Weird thing is that it wasn't that way to start the year. Near the end of OOC play Auburn was something like TeamRanks #12 in the first half and #116 in second half as we blow 20pt leads on the reg to win by 5

Right on cue. Lazy passes leads to a 3
