That's pretty misleading, considering that a large chunk of the Top 50 are SWAC/MEAC/ASun type teams that play 10 money games.
Fair point, I just looked up the ranks and thought #84 was pretty low for #15 SOS
I'd point out that Bama is closer to the pack than the top 25 though. The difference between the top 25 and Bama at 84 is about the same as Bama to 200+ NCSOS

Mississippi State SMH. Make any effort, ANY EFFORT, and they are right on the cusp.
The B10 (10 of 14 outside the Top 40) and the ACC (7 of 14 outside the Top 40) had some shitty scheduling.

So, Wimp went with the team to Florida and we played one of our best games of the year.
Wimps teams almost always played well in the SEC tourney.
Can Wimp travel with the team this week and maybe even sit on the sideline?
Better yet, can Wimp just coach the team from here? They need a hard-arse in their lives right now.

I imagine Howland had a hand in that schedule and felt they weren't ready to step up in OOC yet. He knows what it takes to get a bid.

Pretty stupid then. It's year 3 and he had a roster with a few upperclassmen and talented freshmen.
I just think that's a total waste of a scheduling approach unless you are a total dumpster fire program looking to build confidence.

I hate this team
They have the talent to play with anyone and showed it at times.

Good news! Our SECT opponents would, if it went chalk other than us, be.......
#8 Texas A&M
#1 Auburn
#4 Kentucky
#2 Tennessee
We're 3-3 vs those teams on the season with all 3 losses coming on the road. We beat the dogshite out of 2 of them at home.

Bad news, Kentucky owns us and wears us out. Our overall win percentage against them is in the .200's. I know a lot of teams can say that, but we're right amongst them.

We beat Auburn by 5
but we did do it without Collin
Edit: Ok u said 2 meaning A&M and Tennessee lol my bad

Good news for the SECT
Alabama Record NOT on the road : 15-6
Alabama Record ON the road : 2-8
Last I checked the SECT will NOT be played in our opponent's gymnasium facility.

If we somehow get to Kentucky I don't care if we play all the white walk ons, we'll be in awesome shape at that juncture.

I actually believe one win will get us in the tournament. I'm not happy about that because Avery will throw it up constantly like Gottfried did. He will just brush the late season collapse under the rug and act like it wasn't a big deal and we got to the tournament and that was the goal. I'll lose my fricking mind
Posted on 3/5/18 at 4:30 pm to SummerOfGeorge
I remember this feeling from the Gottfried days. The team would be falling into typical Gottfried March form (aka they were going to screw up, give up 97 on the road to Ole Miss, lose a road game to the #11 team in the SEC, etc)......but the week of the SECT I'd start concocting different scenarios that enabled us to catch fire
"What if Kennedy Winston has 3 straight out of his mind games?"
"What if Grizzard doesn't dribble it off his leg and instead starts hitting all the pull ups from the timeline?"
"What if Jean Felix stays hot for 4 days?"
"What if Ron Steele takes over the tournament?"
"What if Jon Petty shoots well?"
"What if Collin goes out of his mind?"
"What if Key doesn't get paralysis like usual and drop the ball out of bounds 6 times?"
Oh yea then we'd lose usually and I'd be crushed, pissed, mad and crushed again. Fvck that.

This collapse has ruined my feelings on Avery. I want him gone. I hate feeling like this because I really was excited about having him and the positive energy around the program. Now it seems like we are falling back into an abyss

You only have yourself to blame for the inevitable punch to the nuts around 1:55 CT on Thursday. I'm staying permanently pessimistic from here on out.

I have read on another Bama site that Coach Johnson's buyout is 9 million. If that is correct then he will be back. How in the hell can the AD offer a BB contract with a buyout of 9 million to a F BB coach?
