Yea I don't get it and it's pretty shitty. Guy has been great for us and has been max effort every second he's been on the floor.

It's almost like because he's a "1 and done" player people has bestowed this image/caricature on him.

18-13 gets us there, 19-12 is probably just a better seed.

But does 18-14?

Per RPI Wizard, if we go 18-14 with a win over Florida, loss to A&M and 1st game SECT loss to Mississippi State : 18-14 (9-10) RPI of 50

I don't think that cuts it. If we don't win the next 2 games I think we have to consider the 1st game in St Louis as a play-in game.

True George it's very shitty because he's not the typical caricature of a one and done. If we make the dance he's the type that can elevate his game and we could make noise.

Next season should be a whole lot better for us. Here's why:

We return everyone but Sexton(which may not be a bad thing)

We add some pieces, but not anyone that everyone else will stand around and watch play

We get Vandy, Ole Miss, Georgia and Kentucky at home. They all should be worse than they are this year except Kentucky, but we get them at home and we should be better.

Replacing Sexton at PG with AJ Jr or a true freshmen who is probably not a NBA player is not, in any way, a good thing

Does it mean we are a worse team overall? Not necessarily, but there is no part of that swap that is a positive for us.

It isn't a bad thing. This will make me vomit, but we can move Ingram back to PG and let AJJ and Butler come off the bench.

PG - Ingram
SG - Petty
SF - Mack
PF - Key
C - Hall

Reese
Jones
Smith
Giddens
Butler
AJJ

you rs the other two

I know, it pains me too. I want anyone but him, but he may be the best option. Well scratch that, let's just go with this line up

PG - Butler
SG - Petty
SF - Mack
PF - Key
C - Hall

Bring Ingram off the bench after Jones.

I agree with you. Colin is the one player who seems to give consistent effort. Sure he struggles at times, and doesn't score for periods of time. I personally think he's a little too unselfish with the basketball. We need him taking more shots than he does.

The lack of effort and leadership from Ingram and Key is what chaps my rear-end the most.

Yeah I wish he'd take 17 shots a game at least, hoping he ll pick it up while still getting others involved. As for next yr butler will probably start sooner or later..He's underrated in my opinion and seems to be a solid kid who'll stick around 3 years at least.

It's cause other guys don't move when Collin is in. I don't know why, but they don't.

His presence hurts us because no one does anything when he's playing. They stand around for the most part and just wait on him to create. Petty played the best two games of his career when Sexton was out, mainly because he was forced to produce and not wait on someone else

Friday or Saturday someone commented that our ups and downs have been on the back of these two's inconsistent play. Then they come out against Arky and make multiple unforced turnovers and blow opportunities when we have the advantage.

But sure lets blame Collin and the rest of the freshman.

Yeah it's not really Sexton's fault because he's a good distributor, but there's little doubt that the other guys play better offense when Sexton isn't in.

No one is blaming Sexton and you're right, the rest of the damn team should elevate their damn game on a consistent basis, but they can't.

Good luck convincing a 3-year player to come off the bench. Ingram doesn't seem like the type who's open to that kind of change.

It is easy

"Hey Dazon, we're bringing you off the bench at the 7th man"

"Why?"

"Well because you are a 6'5", 205lb G that hasn't come close to his potential. Frankly, you're lazy and your play just seems uninspired at the worst times. I mean you're three year guy and you turn it over like a freshman. Understand?"

"I'm leaving"

"Bye"

Jones hasn't played well in awhile so I'm not sure why he'd be starting over anyone right now.
