Update for the AU game, AUburn's starting C ANfernee McElmore just got injured... it was bad. I don't expect him to come back this year

Damn...Are yall gonna have any inside presence now?? Yall were already thin because of the Wiley situation. Praying for that kid.

Yea that sucks.
I snapped my tibia & fibula and dislocated my ankle in high school playing football. It's about as painful an experience as exists in the world of non-fatal injuries. Kid was playing great too. Thats awful.

That was nasty. Hopefully that's an injury that doesn't ruin his career.

I think the rebounding effort should definitely be questioned in this one. UK is athletic, no one questions that, but they don't really even have a size advantage over us. No way they should've almost doubled us up. I mean I don't know the numbers but I'm pretty sure auburn didn't get outrebounded by much against them the other night and everybody on that team is 6'8 and under. I think we played well on both offense and defense. But they were in bad position down low the entire second half. I mean Knox had 2 separate occasions where he got like 3 offensive rebounds himself. That's unexcusable

I hate to hear that. The older I get, the more these young guys getting injured bothers me. I pray for a quick recovery

Games like today just make me even more frustrated about UCF, Georgia, Ole Miss, Missouri and Vanderbilt.

I've known 2 people that have broken their ankles and it's a nightmare. It's such a tricky place

It's cliche sounding but it's the only time in my life that my brain was seriously basically asking for death. Something about the joints but, yea, there's a reason guys generally uncontrollable scream. First because you see it and then because of the first 10-15 seconds of pain once you do.

I hate to say this because the kids injury just happened but we should be able to get what we want inside against AU on Wed.

Do you have any lingering problems? One person I know had to have their ankle fused and the other they were contemplating amputation because of the constant pain. Both were ladder accidents

Happened to someone I played ball with in HS..he got a plate and screws and 20 years later still has a slight limp.

Maybe with drives to the rim, but I wouldn't say that as far as post ups. Defensively, Horace Spencer + Desean Murray are better post up defenders than McElmore so not a guarantee.
The thing to take advantage of is foul trouble + lack of rim protector. Auburn now only has 3 post players remaining and only true C Horace Spencer is a Giddens type foul machine. Also, McELmore may not be the best post up defender but he is an elite rim protector

You have lost your damn mind. They got beat down on the boards like a rented mule today.

Where did he say that we didn't? I get being frustrated by a loss, but damn this board likes to shoot down the slightest sign of positivity after a loss.

Tendinitis and basic soreness all the time. I still have the metal plate in there that needed to come out years ago, but it's hard to take a month off from putting weight on an entire leg.

I'd love to win every game but a guy said exactly what I was thinking on Twitter just now. It's funny when we have big wins and we have had 6 this year which is the 3rd most of any team in the country , but every time we lose a tough game some dumb arse starts telling "hello NIT". It's beyond idiotic
