Tenn -2.5 Ala
Win tomorrow and we’ll be 5-0 vs top 18 in RPI, crazy.
Tide leads series 78-68
Ala leads at home 44-18
Tenn hasn’t had back to back wins vs Ala since ‘09/’10

Under Avery Johnson, #Alabama is 9-8 when facing an AP Top-25 team.
Prior to his arrival, the Tide had a 21-game losing streak against nationally-ranked opponents.

I hope Petty is shooting right now. We need him to get his shot back. Somebody please start shooting.

UT gonna manhandle us down low. We’re going to drop another home game today.

can someone give me a run down of the vols? I've only seen the Aub game and they didn't play well that day.

Tn is one of the better defensive teams in the US, which is probably why they are so consistent. They have a very good big guy (Grant?) and several that can shoot the 3. Top 10 team. Might be the best team in the SEC right now. They have not lost to a team out of the top 40. They are on a roll.

I feel like you say we're going to lose every game phil

Nope. I thought for sure we would have beat Mizzou at home and thought we had a real good shot at State on the road.
We can beat UT today at home but a lot of things have to go right. They are just not a good matchup for us. And if we do play well and get their bigs in foul trouble, we’ll do what we’ve done the last couple of times that has happened. We’ll back off the lane and start shooting jumpers which we suck at.
You just think I say we’re going to lose every game because I usually don’t say anything when I think we’re going to win for fear of jinxing us. I don’t mind jinxing a loss. But bad matchup today. Even Vegas thinks so.

How much is the abdominal injury affecting Sexton's consistency and if you experts had to give him a letter grade how would he grade out.

I don't think it's affecting him all that much. I think he's been playing his best basketball of the season since the Oklahoma game.

Roll Tide fellas! I’m fired up today. Only get one chance this year to whoop up on TN. Gotta make it count!

On offense they'll play through Grant Williams who's only a 6'6" or 6'7" big, but he's strong and has great footwork. He's surrounded by shooters with Admiral Schofield being the guy most likely to attack the basket instead of shooting a 3. I think it's one of the more fluid offenses in the country. I'm pretty sure they lead the SEC in assists.
Kyle Alexander is their only true big man at 6'11". He defends the rim well, but he's not much on offense. He typically plays a little over half the game.
They are a very good defensive team as well. Because of their small lineups and athleticism, they can switch anytime they want.
The only weakness I've seen from UT is that sometimes their offense late in games will try to sit on leads. They'll just run the shot clock then give it to Williams in the post and hope he does something. That's how they choked against the Pigs and to a lesser extreme, North Carolina.
They also can have pretty bad shooting nights. They shot in 20s from 3 against Auburn and Mizzou.

Yeah it'll definitely be tough. We have to hope they have one of their poor shooting games, and we'll probably need something from Petty because they're a good enough defensive team that'll it'll be hard to score without anyone spreading the floor. I think I'm leaning towards a Vols pick.
Looks like your thoughts alone may jinx us

Lanonte Turner is from North Alabama. He was a part of the Grant-Avery transition class. I remember getting crystal ball picks for him even though I'm pretty sure Grant never even offered. He'll probably scorch us from 3 today.

No need to worry over the game. Bama has proven it can beat any team on their schedule this year, depending upon which Bama team decides to show up.

Exactly. They’ll shoot 50% or better from the 3
