Dude, Come on. Gene is a Barner but he is very objective about Bama and makes good posts+provides good info.

I got no problem saying that I dont think it is a guarantee that someone who isn't "freak dimensions" and also plays PG is far from a 1ndone lock

I literally just defended one of his posts and said how much I love what he he brings to our threads. Just because he was wrong about something doesn't mean he's wrong about everything.

Bama again tied for 3rd in the SEC with UK and UF. But we are the only team among the top 5 not ranked. Auburn #11, UT #18, UK #21, UF #23.

Would be YUUUGE to go .500 down the stretch to finish 19-12 going’ into the SEC tourney in St. Louis. That would almost certainly get us in.

But Gene, if Collin gets his draft grade with the inflated sunshine pumping that always seems to occur with that, he’s almost guaranteed to leave. Whether he truly is or isn’t a lottery pick, he will be told he is one so how does the kid not take the money and run?

Honestly, I think he COULD be having his last year here. Super athletic and long shot-blocker, who's also super efficient offensively, and showing improvement on that end. His only real weakness right now is his thin frame. If we can hold onto him next year, I think we'll be a better team next year than this year.

Whether or not we think he's ready , Collin is ready in the scout's eyes. Truthfully they've loved him since he won MVP at the world championship in Italy 2 summers ago . Lowest I've seen him is 10th , but he ll probably be drafted between 7th and 10th.

Fleming in this recruiting class is a great post player. He's the exact opposite of the no skill high school bigs that I complain about so much on here. He's very skilled in the post and passes well, but he's slow and can't jump at all.
I'm hopeful Diante Wood can develop into a Bryce Brown type of player and give us shooting.
The two main targets, Kira and Watford (assuming Wiseman is out of reach), in the next class don't really fit the mold you're asking for, but believe me you'll want them here. I like Jaykwon Walton out of Montgomery in that class too. He could spread the floor, but we haven't offered yet.

Past that in 2020 in state guys, you have Antwann Burnett who is a guard that can fill it up from range or attacking the basket. Interestingly he's already been offered in football by us, UGA, and Florida.
Colby Jones is a good shooter from Pinson.
Rongie Gordon is a long atheletic three man at 6'6" who fits our mold under Avery. I like him, but he's not a good shooter. He is strong though.
Zondrick Garrett from Oxford right now is sort of like the bigs Auburn is using this year that I like a lot. He can move, jump, and shoot okay. He's only 6'7", but keep in mind these guys could definitely still grow.
