Rick Barnes has made Tennessee really good. Must be fun..

Barnes is a good coach but he has benefitted from great minute continuity. Of the 7 players who play in 40+% of minutes, 6 played ~40% last year for TN with the 7th a grad transfer

There are Tenn fans not sold on Barnes

That's because they are stupid but they are coming around now

Bruce turned them around in YR1 because he inherited a great roster. They ignored that Barnes is building from scratch here

Tennessee is solid, but talent is winning out in this game today. Arkansas is more talented and it's showing...Which is usually the case with a more talented team. Mike Anderson isn't that great of a coach but has a system in place.

I wouldn’t expect an 8 or 9 man rotation anytime soon. Avery was asked about it yesterday and he basically said everyone is too focused on the word “rotation”. He said it would be great to have an 8 or 9 man rotation but he feels that he has 11 guys that he can count on if he needs to play them all. It just doesn’t seem like he’s in any hurry....

Yeah sounds that way...I just think people need to realize that the best in this team hasn't come out yet, especially if key shakes the rust . I think once we defend and rebound consistently we ll see the results we re hoping for.

Today would be a huge win. It would be great to start off SEC play with a win, especially against a top 5 team.

TN has a lot of athleticism if not "NBA talent. " They won't lost a game on "talent" unless someone has a dominant big

they went to OT in Bud Walton gainst a good top 25esque Arky team. That's a "good L"

He was a borderline elite coach before freedom of movement rule change neutered pressing

Even still he is a very good coach. Arkansas was in the dumps w Pelphrey (18W or less on last 3yrs) and Anderson has them on pace for 20W+ in 4/5 seasons and .500+ W% in 6 straight seasons

I'm a perpetual doubter throughout the week, then a believer on gameday. Bama wins back my heart today with a W.

Then if we lose, I'll be pissed, melt, throw shite around, and still watch every game. Damnit

They need to get rid of that shite. "40 minutes of hell" was my favorite type of game to watch. I miss it

I wasn't into grab and hold pressure and that's what it was. Glorified street ball .

I like the new game better too. A lot of games were miserable to watch before they introduced the freedom of motion rules.

Cecil Hurt:

Riley Norris will miss the remainder of the season for @AlabamaMBB due to the hip injury that sidelined him earlier in the year. Scheduled for surgery on Friday.

I agree on the grabbing/hand play but just wish they relax on the "bump" blocking foul

CBB refs aren't good enough to consistently call bump fouls properly plus it's a little bullshite.

That sucks for Riley in his senior year.

How are we going to beat South Carolina without him?

Sucks for Riley but I think we are better without him. Just my opinion.

Cecil just said that Riley could possibly be eligible for a medical redshirt. He’s played in less than 30% of the games and you have to be 30% or under I think to qualify. So it’s possible

If so we'd probably tell him to GT, we have 3 guys signed, and Sexton is only player definitely leaving.
