New Ole Miss head coach Pete Golding has hired L’Damian Washington to be the Rebels' wide receivers coach.

The 34-year-old coach from Shreveport, Louisiana, served as Kentucky's wide receivers coach this past season.

Washington will replace George McDonald, who followed Lane Kiffin to LSU.

Good hire Ole Miss. One of Mizzou's finest.

He was interim WR coach at Oklahoma in 2022 after Cale Gundy was forced to resign. He was not retained, but I thought he did a good job under trying circumstances. Good luck to him at Ole Miss.

L'Damian is a high character guy who overcame a lot of stuff in his early years. He and his siblings stuck together after they lost both their parents (his older brother became legal guardian and they basically raised each other). Psychology degree from Mizzou in four years, and was a helluva receiver. Ole Miss got a good one.
