In a recent conversation with Pastor Levi Lusko on "Faith and Football," ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit gave his two cents on the whole Taylor Swift/Travis Kelce situation...
quote:

I don't get the 'broken football' part of it. I don't know a whole lot about Taylor Swift, I know a lot about football. I called a game with Al Michaels this year with the Chiefs. She was there. We talked about it in our production meeting. 'Ok, how many times are we gonna show Taylor Swift?' And I think Al Michaels, who is the best to have ever done it, was in total control of 'hey, when it's warranted, we'll cut to her.' I think we cut to her one or two times throughout the broadcast.

It's amazing how everything's a thing in today's world. I don't know how she's become a negative thing. Travis Kelce and her seem to have a great relationship ... That's kind of our new world. Has been for the last three-and-a-half, four years.

Guess someone needed to replace the Kardashians in every news feed.

She's brought a whole new market into the NFL game with her Swifties following her every move. I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing.

You think non-LSU fans got tired of seeing Joey B's folks in the stands all the time in 2019?

Kind of sums it up: "It's amazing how everything's a thing in today's world. I don't know how she's become a negative thing. Travis Kelce and her seem to have a great relationship ... That's kind of our new world. Has been for the last three-and-a-half, four years."

If she runs out and grabs the tee after a kick-off...show her every few kicks.

'hey, when it's warranted, we'll cut to her.' - and that should be zero times, because it is not warranted.

Herbie is so full of himself now and his takes lack any insight into the typical fans thinking. He’s hard to like.

He is right. Everything is sensationalized these days. Everything. And sometimes a nothing is turned into a something.
