Taysom Hill Thinks He's A Franchise QB and If Saints Don't See it, He Says He'll Leave
© Chuck Cook-USA TODAY Sports
New Orleans Saints QB Taysom Hill is feeling himself these days. In a recent interview he said, as much as he loves playing with Drew Brees, he feels he's a franchise QB and if the team doesn't see it that way then he'll leave...

"I definitely view myself as a franchise quarterback. I think as you look at the other questions: Is it New Orleans? Is it somewhere else? As you go into free agency, this is the time that you start to find out how people view you. We haven't gotten into free agency long enough to really know how these guys view me and we'll just handle it as it comes. ... I want to play quarterback in this league, and if New Orleans don't view me that way, well then I have to leave. That's really where we're at."

Franchise as a 49er, maybe.

He’s obviously contracted a bad case of jimmygrahamitis. It’s where you don’t have the self awareness that your success is completely the result of the system. Hope it doesn’t kill his career like it did Jimmy Graham’s

A "franchise-type" player, maybe. Franchise Qb? Nah.

If the guy didn’t say that he would never get the shot. If you dont believe in yourself you can’t expect anyone else to.

Probably not as good as he thinks he is. Would like to keep him, but, I am not crazy about that attitude. I have seen nothing that says he is a "franchise quarterback"

Yep. Jimmy Graham got cocky. He is still playing but not producing like had potential to in NOLA

This guy is great at what he does but he’s not an every down QB

He is as much an NFL quarterback as Tebow was. Stay in the utility role that keeps a paycheck coming.

Really, Taysom. You would have to show something as an actual QB first. The underthrown completion against the Vikings doesn’t count
