I'm okay with him as a bridge. The Saints are very clearly working on restructuring their roster and their cap situation not for this season but for the next. This is a "keep winning at least at an acceptable level for now" move until the franchise is in a position to pivot to either a top FA QB or draft a young guy and build. History says that the FA route is probably the way they want to go.
