Anthony Davis Has Requested For The Pelicans To Trade Him, Won't Sign Extension
© Tim Fuller-USA TODAY Sports
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski on Monday that New Orleans star center Anthony Davis informed the Pelicans, via his agent Rich Paul, that he will not sign an extension with the team and would like to be traded...

Well, that's completely awful news. I would think he's heading to the Lakers for a bunch of young talent, right?

Or the Knicks?!

I see no reason to spend money, time or emotion on a team that will let Davis walk. If you can’t build a team around this guy, you never will. Pelicans are a waste

Pelicans might be better if their superstar didn’t miss 30 games a season

Good for him. The Pelicans origination as a whole is a complete joke.

Can't blame him. The Pelicans aren't serious about winning. Also, small market teams struggle to compete for championships due to NBA small rosters & salary structures.

Sell the franchise. I hope he never wins a ring.

Sell every franchise that isn't in the NYC, Boston, California, Miami, Philadelphia, Houston/Dallas and maybe Toronto markets. Markets like ours clearly aren't the NBAs priority and are not attractive to star caliber players anymore (two things that go hand in hand).

What an idiotic statement! He's awesome and he should leave if this piss poor organization isn't willing to surround him with the talent needed to go all the way!
