Zion has had prior injuries within the last few years. They want to maintain his health and not run him down early in his career. They'll definitely be using him fully when it matters most (postseason).

These days coaches and organizations get beat up in the media anytime a star players gets injured. Talking heads start questioning whether or not a player is overutilized before the bandages are even applied. Tom Thibs is a perfect example of this.
