When announcers try to play "replay cop" is something that has always bothered me. If it goes your teams way, we're more tolerant about it, but when it doesn't it's infuriating. Just ask Virginia head coach Tony Bennett last night...

Weirdest part of all this? The announcer, Cory Alexander, went to UVA. (He and I are also alums of the same high school, Flint Hill.)

First thing that pops into my mind is, why didn't the refs have that replay angle available to them without a media goober having to show them. Another example of the total incompetence of NCAA basketball officials.

I agree with coach. Media shouldn't take any part in decisions on the court. They are paid to commentate, not assist refs!

Get the call right. Bottom line. I don’t disagree with the media here. I disagree with the ref using them as an option if it’s outside the norm though.
