Lakers quit against Indiana, 40+ point loss, just to show Lephony. Jerry West was smart enough to make these deals in the off season. Golden State might end up with him after the finals. See Jerry West.

There is NO benefit to the Pelicans to let AD play. We have no shot at the playoffs and you risk your best trading asset getting hurt. Not to mention you lower your chances for a high lottery pick. This is retarded.

The risk of injury to AD playing in these low intensity games only benefits the Pels by losing to get a higher draft position are about the same risk as practice. AD won't play much the remainder of the season. Just enough to stay in shape. The Pels trading position will be stronger by waiting. This is a good move.
