Former Boston Red Sox star David Ortiz, aka Big Papi, is said to be in stable condition but undergoing surgery after being shot in the abdomen on Sunday night in his native Dominican Republic. It all went down during a robbery attempt. Here's video of the incident...

I always felt bad for these guys that come from poverty stricken countries, strike it rich in USA, and can't travel back to their homes without fear of getting shot or kidnapped. Many times they are just traveling back on goodwill missions, uplifting their former communities. Hope he gets better and that justice is properly served.
