Mississippi State freshman guard Malik Newman will be transferring to another school, according to ESPN.
quote:

Newman averaged 11.3 points per game this past season for the Bulldogs, but a source close to the situation told ESPN that he was "unhappy with his role and how he was utilized." Newman was fourth on the team in field goal attempts last season.

Webster said that Newman does not yet have a future destination, but he told ESPN that his son will likely narrow down his list in the next week.
Newman, a highly recruited prospect from Callaway High in Jackson, Mississippi chose to commit to the Bulldogs over schools like Kansas and Kentucky.
