The X (formerly Twitter) account @FreddyLA7, which belongs to a German soccer fan named Freddy, has gone viral during the 2026 FIFA World Cup for documenting his first extended trip across the United States.

Freddy has become especially popular in the South, on their way to Houston to see Germany play. During a recent stop in Baton Rouge, he toured LSU, visited Tiger Stadium, met Mike the Tiger, and even stopped at the original Raising Cane's near campus:
