The Advocate reports that recently hired LSU football analyst Antonio Parks was charged Monday with one count of felony strangulation in Eugene, Oregon.

Antonio Parks, who joined the staff in February, was charged Monday with one count of felony strangulation, according to online records from the Oregon Judicial Department.

“We are aware of the report and working through the appropriate parties,” LSU athletics spokesperson Zach Greenwell said in a statement. “We don’t have any further comment at this time.”

The Oregonian, citing a probable cause affidavit filed in the Lane County Circuit Court, reported Thursday that Parks was accused of strangling a woman for 30-60 seconds in mid-December after he ordered her to delete a video titled "A Day in the Life of a Stay at Home Girlfriend" and she refused.
Parks, a native of Reserve, La., played High School Football at East St. John and then played at Arizona and UTSA. He played under LSU running back coach Frank Wilson when he was the head coach at UTSA.

Parks has spent the last two seasons on Oregon's staff and was hired in February as a wide receiver analyst on Brian Kelly's staff.

You think the culture around LSU is what is causing unhinged people to choke someone out 3 months before they are hired by LSU from the other side of the country? Interesting take

Yeah it's "athletes" that commit the violent crime. Same "athletes" that run faster and jump higher?
