LSU will be without safety Jardin Gilbert for all of spring practice while he recovers from shoulder surgery, head coach Brian Kelly revealed on Saturday.

Gilbert played in all 13 games last season, with nine starts, after transferring into the program from Texas A&M. He recorded 55 total tackles, 29 solo tackles, one forced fumble, three pass breakups, and one interception last year.
