Tasmin Mitchell scored 41 points (12-15 from the field, 15-18 FT) to lead LSU to a 97-94 2OT win over Mississippi State in Starkville. Marcus Thornton added 19 points and Bo Spencer had 15 before leaving the game with an injury.

In LSU Recruiting news, it appears that LSU is in the running to receive the fifth and final visit from the nation's top running back recruit, Bryce Brown. According to PotentialPlayers.com, Les Miles reached out to Brown on Monday and made a good impression on the Wichita, KS native.

It also seems to be getting more clear about how the Rueben Randle/DeAngelo Benton signings unfolded. Many LSU fans were shocked to find out that Benton signed with Auburn last Wednesday. It turns out that he was bound for Auburn the entire time, where he felt he could make a more immediate impact.
