Even though Tyrann Mathieu's season was cut short by a serious knee injury, the Arizona Cardinals safety and former LSU Tiger was named to Mel Kiper Jr.'s All-Rookie Team at safety. Per Mel Kiper Jr:

“He could also qualify at cornerback, or nickelback, but I put him here based on how the Cardinals used him. Great season, injury aside,” Kiper wrote.

Tyrann finished second on the team with 65 solo tackles, and had two interceptions, one sack and one forced fumble. Per ESPN:

He would’ve had an outside shot at defensive rookie of the year had he not torn his ACL and LCL against the St. Louis Rams on Dec. 8.

Not a bad first year for the Honey Badger.
