Last week's loss to Ole Miss further exposed some lingering issues the Tigers need to address on their own bye week. Mainly they need to find a running game and figure out what's wrong with QB Garrett Nussmeier. Over the last two seasons, LSU is rushing for an SEC-low 116.8 yards per game on designed runs. Also, is Nussmeier injured? Or isn't he? Coach Brian Kelly insists he isn’t despite other observers, including SEC Network analyst Jordan Rodgers, contending to the contrary. His play, when compared to the first five games of last season, suggests something out of the ordinary is going on. "LSU plummets with (its latest) loss and its struggles on offense looking like they could be real issues," Doering said of the team that once was No. 1.
