It's never too early for College Football Bowl projections...

According to Brad Crawford of CBS Sports, LSU and first-year head coach Lane Kiffin are projected to make the 12-team playoff.

Projected CFP Top 12:
1. Miami
2. Texas
3. Indiana
4. Notre Dame
5. Texas Tech
6. Georgia
7. Oregon
8. Ohio State
9. LSU
10. Ole Miss
11. USC
12. Memphis

The Tigers would travel up to Columbus, Ohio, for their first-round matchup against Ohio State on Dec. 18.

(9) LSU at (8) Ohio State
Dec. 18, 2026 - Columbus, Ohio (Ohio Stadium)

The winner would go on to play top-seeded Miami in the next round.

Part of me wants LSU to land 5-8 seed just to witness the craziness of a night playoff game in Tiger Stadium. If these are the teams that end up making the playoffs, I’d love to get OSU, but a playoff game against OM after this past year would be absolute must see TV for everyone.
