So Faulk was being selfish when he insisted on playing RB instead of DB? Just because he was born in Louisiana doesn't mean he owes it to LSU to play for them no matter what. He played RB in HS and he believed that he would be a better RB than any other position so he followed his instincts and didn't listen to all of the "experts" at LSU (and every other school by the way) and ended up making them all look extremely foolish.

The attempt at trying to justify the comments you make below by saying "he could have made his money at any position" makes you look even more absurd. There is no way of knowing that he would have been not just good but HALL OF FAME great as a DB so please stop.

When Faulk came into the NFL RBs were being paid far more than DBs.

I was trolling a little bit there. fact is there were a lot of great high school players not only from within the state, but locally who shunned LSU back then to play elsewhere. that is one of the reasons we sucked during that time. Or vise versa.
