LSU 5th-year senior Jardin Gilbert is entering the transfer portal, according to multiple reports.

The White Castle, La. native just wrapped up his 2nd season with the Tigers after playing three years at Texas A&M.

Gilbert had 13 games with nine starts for LSU in 2024, but only played in five games this year after slipping down the depth chart behind A.J.Haulcy and Tamarcus Cooley.

Seen him play for LSU at least (don't remember seeing him with A&M)...not an NFL caliber player. Will probably go to a mid-level conference as a starter or a major school as a backup.

He can probably start for several major schools. Just not here. He was serviceable in spot duty this year. He actually played well against Clemson in 1st half.

Don’t know anything about him personally. Doesn’t seem like he is going to play on Sundays with the amount of busts and missed tackles he has had, but people always need another shot. Let him see if anyone will either pay him to be a rotational piece or let him play at a smaller school. Can’t be upset about that. Good luck, sir! Best wishes!

Good luck Tiger. Played 5 years, has 1 more season. Interesting. I would need about 10 years to finish college in my boomer status though so I ain't hating.
