LSU linebacker TJ Dottery spoke with reporters after practice on Thursday and was asked about his decision to transfer from Ole Miss to reunite with Lane Kiffin.

Here's what he had to say:

"After talking with my family and a lot of prayer, I just felt like this was the best decision for me for a lot of reasons," Dottery explained.

"The major one for sure was the scheme on defense, being able to just fly around and have fun."

"And then also when you talk about the journey to Ole Miss from Clemson and Lane Kiffin giving me that first opportunity... Once he got here and everything shook out, I felt like why not go play for the coach who gave me the opportunity when a lot of other coaches didn’t at that time."
