LSU Sophomore running back Leonard Fournette was selected as one of five candidates for the SEC’s 2015 offensive player of year honor, according to ESPN.

2015 SEC Offensive POTY candidates:

Nick Chubb, RB, Georgia
Leonard Fournette, RB, LSU
Dak Prescott, QB, Mississippi State
Derrick Henry, RB, Alabama
Laquon Treadwell, WR, Ole Miss

Don't get me wrong, I think he's great. He QB'd my SEC Fantasy team to victory last year, but with a decimated line and a history of multiple injuries, I don't see him being what he was last season. I'm not rooting for him to fail. I just think he has a lot to overcome in order to be named POTY.

He had 42 total last year and with his defense losing so many starters, he is going to need to do a lot more. His receiving corps is underrated and he looked very impressive this spring.

I originally thought he was super overrated, but not anymore.

Chubb is beastly, and the clear feature back, as is Fournette. Prescott lost his line and has a history of injury. Henry has too much of a supporting cast to be a 25 carry/game player, and we'll have to see if Treadwell can rebound from his horrible injury. Among the others listed, Cooper is the most impressive.

I still say Prescott or Dobbs takes it unless Fournette or Chubb runs for at least 1800/20 yards/TDs on a division winning team.

Don't care if Prescott loses his line, he is the team this year.
Passing will be above 3500 and running will be at or over 1000. Add in 45-50 TDs, and there you go.
